Once I saw that notice about the Meet and Greet contest...I had to do it.

I will be seeing Clay Aiken perform live for my 4th time at the Los Angeles Greek Theatre...August 4th.

that's right...apparently, Im not over the adoration of that man. Don't think I ever will be!

As I was packing up to leave my dorm last night...I checked myspace to see all these bulletins about my favorite ballet teacher at home, Stanley Holden passed away. I found myself unable to control my tears or express anything. That man was the one teacher I have had these days that could make me LOVE ballet class. Im a jazz dancer who goes to ballet merely for the fact that I have to for technique. He made me WANT to take ballet. His sense of humor and his overall demeanor were so inspiring.

I feel so lucky to have studied ballet with such an AMAZING man. He was such a huge part of California Dance Theatre. I will never forget his laughing and his excitement when he saw us as young dancers develop into who we are now.

Thank you stanley. Thank you for giving us the most amazing gift anyone could receive. You were such an inspiration to me, you will be so incredibly missed. I love you.

My heart broke yesterday when the show ended. I feel like my whole heart this semester was in that performance. I finally feel like I got to show what Ive got. I couldnt hold it together at all through bows..I just cried. Also, to share such a show with one of your favorite people/best friends is the most amazing experience one can have.

:-) Today I woke up and I was just happy that it was over. Now I can get back to being Kelly and just keep trucking through.

Im exhausted...No matter how many hours I sleep...I still wake up the next morning just as physically and mentally drained as i was before. And I dont get a break until the show opens.

Tonight:
clean dances.
quick change rehearsals.
Tech is doing dry tech all night.

Saturday:
Wet tech....ALL DAY.

Sunday:
2 Dress run thrus...with orchestra.

Monday, Tues, Weds:
Dress...add hair and make up (which is a pain in the ass with the wigs and everything)

Thursday:
Preview
*Mom and Dad get here.

Friday:
*Nicole gets here!
Opening night.

I just need a break from life.

Its interesting how Velma Kelly can be my greatest joy....and also the bane of my existence.

I went back to my roots....literally...

things to do before then:

*Study for Bio Final thats this friday.
*Memorize my scene.
*Go over my monologue.
*Write a 5-10pg character analysis.
*Write an 8-10 research paper.
*Study with Destany for stagecraft final.
*Dance finals and acting final monday night.
*Stagecraft Final tuesday.
*Voice final jury weds.
*Turn in research paper.

THEN MOM'S HERE ON FRIDAY AND WE START DRIVING HOME ON SATURDAY!!!!
